Employment Pass Applications
For a company to be eligible for employment pass application, the minimum paid-up capital of a company is as below:
100% local owned company
RM250,000
Joint Venture between local and foreign company
RM350,000
100% foreign owned company
RM500,000
Foreign-owned companies (foreign equity at 51% and above) operating in the Wholesale, Retail and Trade (WRT) sectors and Unregulated Service Sectors are required to submit a valid WRT license. The minimum paid-up capital of RM1,000,000 is required for such companies.
The types of employment pass are as follows:
